Regulatory Advisor

Our Copeland plant in Mikulov is looking for a colleague for the position of a Regulatory Advisor. Do you want to be responsible for a new products development? Would you like to assure a compliance with technical standards and regulations?

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Tracking of HVAC technical standards/regulatory changes in respect to products in charge, such as: scroll and piston refrigeration compressors, condensing units and refrigeration components
• Preparation of instructions for correct application of new technical and business regulation and standards for product engineering
• Preparation of Declaration of Conformity / Incorporation for new products
• Conformity assessment of new products according associated Legislation and Regulations for different markets throughout the world and in this regard the cooperation with notified bodies, such as UL, VDE, VdS, TUV, DNV, etc. on testing, inspections and audits.
• Being active member of Standardization committees
• ISO 9001, ISO 17025 – audits and documentation preparation
• Creation of internal rules for following of ecological behavior company policy. Following of Health and Safety rules in Engineering
• Observance of health, safety and environmental rules, implementing relevant programs within its activities and preventing the occurrence of emergency situations and possible threats to the environment and safety at work

Ideal candidate:

• Master degree of electromechanical or mechanical engineering
• Experience with electrical motors driven by frequency invertors is an advantage
• 5 years technical / regulatory position in industrial environment
• Experience with high volume cost efficient production environment
• Experience with product certification processes
• Knowledge of refrigeration technology and components is an advantage
• Ability to read drawings and technical documentation
• Practice in reading and understanding Standards, Regulations, Laws
• Good written and oral communication skills
• English language – B2 as a must, C1 advantage
• MS Office daily user (Excel, Work, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Systematic approach to problem solving
• German, French is an advantage
